Hola, I’m Matias. I’m formally an architect, but my curiosity has always taken me beyond architecture. In my practice, I work with spaces, furniture, materials and, more recently, clothing.

As in fashion, for me, architecture is more than a visual gesture. It needs the body. Space is experienced through movement, touch, sound, sight and the way it is inhabited.

I tend to begin intuitively, with a moment or a way of being there before any form exists. Then I slowly take it apart, looking for what can hold it: a height, a threshold, a texture under the hand, the weight of a material. Function is always part of that process — whether I’m thinking about a space, an object or a piece of clothing.
